Steering Committee Meeting 2020
16/11/2020

The IMS Steering Committee was held on 16 November 2020 by videoconference due to the pandemic. This was an opportunity to thank the outgoing Board members as well as the technical advisors, who have been serving the IMS for many years. The Steering Committee was also able to “get to know” the candidate administradors and the candidates for the Audit Committee. After approving the minutes of the Board meeting of 15 November 2019, a video retrospective of the events that had punctuated the life of the IMS over the past three years was shown.

In addition, Mr Sylvain Sacheli presented the composition and work of the commissions since 2017.

Then a video of Brother Henri Vignau and the lawyer Maître Millet-Ursin allowed to deepen the history of IMS, particularly in the context of the work on the modification of the Statutes.

Mr Dominique Bruiet, Administrative and Financial Director of Union Saint-Martin presented the annual financial statements and the Steering Committee approved the financial statements for the 2019 financial year.

The actuaries then presented the technical results for 2017/2020 and the proposed decisions for 2021. The President announced the recommendations of the Board, which met on 21 October 2020.  The Steering Committee voted on zone modifications and tariff adjustments to ensure a good balance in the accounts and validated a better reimbursement of the optics.

The meeting of the Steering Committee was closed after a final point on the transfer of the management of the East Africa Section to the Marist Brothers, effective 1 December 2020.
