Quality care at a reasonable price

International Missionary Benefit Society provides healthcare assistance to its 27,000 members around the world. 195,191 procedures were the subject of a bank transfer in 2023 (analysis, hospital stay, medication, glasses….).
While members are free to choose the healthcare professional they visit, the IMS encourages its members to consult the list of healthcare network partners (information available online, intended for IMS Group managers). In this way, patients can be sure of receiving high-quality care at a reasonable price, without having to pay in advance (also known as tiers-payant). Today, the service is available for hospitalisation, pharmacy, medical imaging and medical analysis.
The Association acts in accordance with the principle of solidarity, the aim being to enable everyone to have unlimited access to healthcare. This means that we are vigilant about any negligence or exaggerations that may be found on invoices. One example concerns glasses: it is important that the correction of the lenses complies with the prescription; even if some optics are complex and therefore expensive, lens treatments or thinning are unnecessary. Similarly, the price of frames should remain reasonable, even modest. The members of the Social Fund commission pay close attention to this type of remaining cost when making their decisions.
