IMS meeting with Eau Vive from Bobo Dioulasso

Our Section was visited by the IMS Paris head office in February 2025, which led to a large meeting of group leaders from Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, Togo and Côte d’Ivoire. A reminder of practical information for group leaders, the different options with their advantages and limitations. The use of the extranet and, above all, the supporting documents required for proper reimbursement. The issue of third-party payment – a healthcare network that is a major innovation since 2022 and one of IMS’s priorities today.

March 2025, visit to Burkina Faso to meet with new healthcare facilities and also agree on third-party payment principles to facilitate access to healthcare for our members. New member congregations or those in the process of joining also received information and training on the IMS and its service provider MSH. Christian principles and values such as solidarity, sharing and communion among members are always emphasised.

In May 2025, IMS was invited to the CERAO Plenary Assembly in Dakar, Senegal, which was a good opportunity to remind our Bishop Fathers of their canonical responsibility towards their priests and, above all, to reassure them of IMS’s moral, economic and financial support for their care.

July 2025, visit to Guinea, specifically the diocese of KANKAN, to help the Bishop and his presbytery understand how the IMS works and how to benefit from it more fully. A healthcare network is being set up to facilitate third-party payment.

In Mali, several working sessions focused on agreements, extranet and third-party payment.

In Togo, training and information sessions for the monasteries of the Poor Clares of Lomé, Benedictines and Benedictines of Danyi-Dzogbégan.

A few visits and working sessions with healthcare establishments affiliated with MSH to resolve certain misunderstandings and restore good and open collaboration.

All these training sessions, information meetings and working sessions with service providers are aimed at bringing us closer to our members, listening to them in order to improve and strengthen our solidarity in providing healthcare for priests and religious men and women, and facilitating access to care and, above all, third-party payment.
