Group meetings – General Section

June 2025 saw the organisation of meetings of the General Section Groups. The meetings were held in Paris, Angers and Lyon for all available Leaders and Superiors. Remote catch-up meetings (video-conferencing) were used to bring together Groups that were far away or could not travel.

 

The 6 meetings provided an opportunity to reiterate the fundamentals of IMS Group Management, through various procedures. Some of those involved were taking part for the first time, giving the opportunity to put faces to names; the IMS stands out for its human values and its closeness to its members.

 

The tasks of the Group Manager were outlined:

 

– Handling member movements (affiliations, deregistrations, transfers)
– Pay contribution invoices
– Submitting mutual aid requests
– Receive grants and check their accuracy
– Issuing membership cards, sending them out and destroying old ones
– Consult the care network
– Request reimbursements
– Issue membership certificates (if required)
– Request an exceptional contribution to the social fund (if applicable)
– Request a reduction in contributions (if applicable)
