Father Guy Marcel Enganabissen, CSsp, new Head of the IMS Central Africa Section
31/03/2022

Born on February 17, 1974 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Father Guy Marcel ENGANABISSEN is the eldest of 10 children, including 5 boys and 5 girls.

He was ordained in 2004 in the Congregation of the Holy Spirit under the protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary with the motto: “And I am among you as one who serves” Lk 22, 27

From 2004-2008, he was curate at St Peter’s Parish in Kong (Cameroon) and a student at the School of Science and Technology of Information and Communication (ESSTIC), with a radio option.

From 2008-2014: he is a missionary in Gabon (Lambaréné, Libreville).

From 2014-2019: Back in Cameroon, he is assigned to the Holy Spirit Parish of Bepanda (Douala) as parish priest cumulatively with the Provincial Secretariat.

Since 2019, he is parish priest at the Parish of St. Peter of Kong cumulatively with the office of First Assistant Provincial.

Following the election of Fr. Albert NDONGO ASSAMBA, CSsp, as General Councillor in Rome, he is the Interim Provincial since December 2021 and new head of the IMS Central Africa Section at the same time.

The IMS for him is the expression of his preferential option for the poor. It is a way of fighting effectively against the logic of the law of the strongest. Mutual aid is a means of sanctification and promotion of the Kingdom of Heaven.
