Father Armel Hilarion Djondzo Nganwei, new head of the Central Africa Section

Father Armel Hilarion DJONDZO NGANWEI, a member of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, was born on 11 April 1985 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

From an early age, he nurtured a love of serving others and, above all, serving the Lord. This love led him to be admitted to initial formation with the Spiritans on 7 October 2006 and to be ordained a priest ten years later on 1 July 2017. He made his first religious profession on 8 September 2012.

 

Since then, he has served in turn:

2018: at the Spiritan Postulancy in Obout, cumulatively as Sunday Vicar at Saint Raphaël Parish in Ebamena in southern Cameroon;

 

2018 – 2021: at the Spiritan Novitiate in Mbalmayo as Bursar, concurrently serving as Sunday Vicar at Saint Frederick Parish in Ngok in the Diocese of Mbalmayo;

 

2021 – 2023: at Biyem-Assi Parish in Yaoundé as Vicar.

 

He is currently in charge of the Mission Procure in Douala. Since 1 August 2023, he has also been in charge of section (6) of the IMS in Central Africa.

He wishes to accomplish this new mission to the best of his ability.
