A new bishop for the diocese of Tsiroanomandidy

Pope Francis has appointed the Coordinating Secretary of the Bishops’ Conference of Madagascar, of the Diocese of Moramanga, Bishop Gabriel Randrianantenaina, as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Tsiroanomandidy, Madagascar, on Friday 30 April 2021.

 

The IMS team congratulates Bishop Gabriel Randrianantenaina and prays that he will carry out the great mission that has been entrusted to him.

Congratulations to the diocese of Tsiroanomandidy for having obtained a bishop!

 

Born on 16 February 1969 in Tanambe Ambatondrazaka.

Ordained a priest on 31 May 1997.

1998-2000: Parish priest of San Tammaro Anosindrafilo, diocese of Ambatondrazaka and youth chaplain.

2003-2010: In charge of the district of Anosibe An’Ala (diocese of Moramanga)

In 2006, when the diocese of Moramanga was created, he chose to be one of the diocesan priests of this new diocese.

2010-2015: Rector of the Interdiocesan Seminary of Saint Jean Marie Vianney – Moramanga

2015-2016: Responsible for the Anosibe An’Ala district

2016 – since his appointment: Coordinating Secretary of the Bishops’ Conference in Madagascar.
