THE IMS

The round table discussion on 27 November 2025, marking the 60th anniversary of IMS, was held in a location that is emblematic of Paris, both for Catholics and for IMS : at the Daughters of Charity, Rue du Bac. This is the site of the Miraculous Chapel.

 

The symposium took place in several stages: :

• Introduction by Sister Elisabeth Auliac, President of IMS
• Screening of the 60th anniversary film, made from videos provided by the various sections.

• Round table with presentations and discussions between our four speakers: His Grace Joseph Obanyi Sagwe, Bishop of the Diocese of ­Kakamega in Kenya; SisterEsther Thera, Mother Superior of the Institute of the Daughters of the ­Immaculate Heart of Mary, President of the Union of Indigenous Women’s Congregations of French-speaking West Africa, ANIMA UNA; Father Emmanuel Meaudre Desgouttes, Head of the Health Service of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit in Paris; Mister Pascal Beau, Designer of the ­European Social Space and the European Observatory on Social ­Protection, former teacher at the IAE and IEP (Political Science) in Paris and at the ENA
• Discussion with the Assembly
