In the summer of 2026, Sister Chantal had to step down from the IMS to take on new responsibilities at COREB, the Conference of Religious Men and Women in Belgium, while continuing to serve as Superior General of her Congregation.

 

A nurse by training and a Salesian of the Visitation, Sister Chantal served at the IMS for many years.

 

She began “on the ground” as the IMS Group Leader for her sisters. She also served as a technical advisor and as a member of the IMS Steering Committee and Executive Board. She also contributed her expertise to the Social Fund and Membership/Contribution Reduction Commission.

 

We sincerely thank her for her dedication to the IMS over the years. And we are delighted for COREB, of which she assumed the presidency in July 2026..
