IMS Groups Meeting in Abidjan

As soon as she took up her post on 14 September 2026, Sister Nadine Konan wished to meet with the first Groups. On this occasion, 60 leaders or representatives of local communities in Abidjan gathered at the CERAO Centre in the Ivorian capital on 16 September.
First meeting
For nearly three hours, Sister Konan – accompanied by Mr Sacheli, a representative from IMS head office, as well as her colleagues from the Section, Ms Seka and Sister Mbalanda – presented key information about IMS and how it operates.
Several key topics for the Groups were discussed: IMS news, changes to cover, member management, contributions, access to financial assistance and exceptional aid, use of the Extranet platform and the medical network.
Q&A seesion
For Sister Nadine Konan, this first meeting was particularly important. It enabled her to get to know the Groups’ representatives, whose role is essential both in facilitating members’ access to healthcare and in ensuring a clear understanding and appropriate use of the services offered by the IMS.
For their part, the leaders and representatives present were also able to get to know their new contact and speak with her directly, thereby laying the foundations for constructive collaboration in the service of members.
