The International Missionary Benefit Society, was created on June 30, 1965, under the aegis of the Conference of Major Superiors of France, to allow all the missionaries of the world, as well as the religious and clergy of the young Churches, to benefit from an equal right to health. As an association of mutual aid in the spirit of the Gospel, it allows the major superiors and the bishops to assume their canonical responsibility (C.619) towards their members in the field of health. In order to allow other communities and groups to participate and benefit from this solidarity, we seek to make the IMS known even more widely.
Today, the IMS has 30,000 beneficiary members on 5 continents, in 140 countries. It relies on its different sections (Central America, West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa, Belgium, France) in proximity to the beneficiaries.
You will find below our newsletter which we hope will allow you to discover or rediscover the International Missionary Benefit Society.
