International Missionary Support East Africa section is managed by Waumini Insurance brokers on behalf of Kenya Episcopal Conference. The section caters for the East African countries and neighbouring countries including Malawi, Sudan, Ethiopia. Currently the East Africa Section has 2,497 Members in 56 groups. Healthcare in East Africa is costly considering the countries’ per capita income. The cost of insurance is also high and very restrictive since it excludes the Individuals above age 55. Insurance also restricts cover for chronic and pre-existing conditions. The International Missionary support has assisted many congregations and Dioceses in meeting the health needs of the Sisters, Priests, Brothers and Bishops. The contributions are favourable considering the extensive coverage. The section endeavours to reimburse all documented claims within two weeks of submission
